This woman is a mother of 5 children and grandmother of many more. In spite of the fact that she rarely ever gets up from her bed, she can easily move everyone around her. Today there is a growing difference between generations, while elderly people try hard to stay away from change, younger people and the children are open to any new impact that can influence them.

These pictures were taken during my visit in a gypsy village called Pacsatüttös, in my country. The inhabitants of the village live under poor circumstances, comparing to national average, often without electricity and any public facilities.

There's always a process of making yourself accepted in the eyes of the people you want to photograph. Sometimes it takes longer until they let you in their lives. I experienced during my travels, that in most cases people do want to share their stories, or something from their lives, it just takes time to make them feel comfortable about it.
These children were fairly shy and reserved at first, before they let me in their little world.
