My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Portugal | Tuesday, July 2, 2013 | 5 photos
My name is Miguel, I'm from Portugal (Sintra).
I'm an amateur photographer that loves to travel trough the mountains, tracks, rivers and all the all the Landscape of Portugal, with my camera on, and always looking for adventure. I've been a mountain biker since my early 17s and I live near the beautiful Sintra Mountains, where I've been going since I've born.
Recently, I've started to go to some photography workshops, and I've won a prize with a work about Landscape photography, in Vila Franca de Xira's 2012 Biennale.
I love photography, I love hiking, solo or with my friends.
In 2012, I've done a solo trekking throughout a railroad in Alentejo, 70km long, only me, my backpack and my camera's, that took 3 days, and as a result, I've been invited to expose the result.
As it went well, I've done a second one, the Tua railroad, also alone, also 3 days solo. The 5 pictures is the result of and extensive work, photographing the Railroad that soon is going to be submerged with he construction of a hoover dam.
This taste for adventure, this passion for nature, cultures and photography, is the reason you should pick me, and make my dream of working with National Geographic come true.
