My Scholarship entry - A Walk Down Japan
Canada | Saturday, November 8, 2014 | 5 photos
My name is May Shi, I live in Brampton, Canada. I am a hobbyist Photographer who likes to capture scenery at it’s natural state. I’ve always had a deep interest in the arts. Growing up, I took art lessons in painting and drawing. I picked up photography after taking a Media Arts class in high school. Afterwards, I kept taking photos exploring neighbourhoods and discovering places that I’ve never even knew existed. I like to keep my photos as real as possible. I think that capturing a moment as it is without digital editing enhancements makes a skilled Photographer.
It would be a huge honour to shoot under a professional like James Edward. One of the many reasons that I’d like this scholarship is that I would love to learn more about Mr. Edward's Photography philosophy. I hope to not only tell more untold stories through photos but also share to others how people live around the world. I am not afraid to get my feet or hands dirty if it means to get a good shot. Travel photography may just be a hobby for me at the moment but I would eventually like to take travel photography into the next level. I am ready.
