    Why do you miscredit such a beautiful bridge already in your header?
    Speak of the "local heros" who messed this up (making all money, Calatrava got close to nothing paid for this, principally making this a gift to the city)

    dear frans, I do not miscredit the bridge itself. You are right when you say that "local heroes" messed things up making money out of it (I think, I don't know for sure). I only say that many venetians (some are friends of mine) just consider it to be a useless waste of money (besides, it might be beautiful to see but not so easy to access for handicapped people. Have you ever seen it? I did. It was not and it IS not my intention to make polemics about this, hope you understand me. The sentence in my header was just a sentence... an opinion.
