My Photo scholarship 2011 entry
Well, for me photography is a way to write stories using light! I am passionate about photography. I like to think of photographers as artists.
These photos were taken when I went to Kashmir recently. All of them have some story I want to tell people. Being a place full of irony, Kashmir has lots of stories to tell us, from which we can learn. Undoubtedly, I have just skimmed the top layer of these stories. I have used quotes in the captions for each photo. I felt that each of these quotes go a long way in telling the stories I had in mind while clicking the photos.
I am currently studying Biological Sciences and want to enter the field of evironmental science. I look at photography as a way to sensitize people, just like movies.
Regarding how I take my photos, I am much concerned with the composition of photos(like, what it should contain and what it should not contain, how the subjects should be positioned in the frame, etc.), rather than the technical stuff (like the camera's internal working).
