The entrance to this tomb is a secret, all of the workers were killed after building it so they couldn't tell anyone. Views[444] Temple of Heaven Park. Views[495] We visited a jade factory. This is a Chinese Cabbage which was and still is a staple food in northern China in the winter. Views[986] The southern entrance to the Forbidden City at the top of Tienamen Square.     Walking through the entrance to the forbidden city which is a huge area in the center of Beijing where the emperors lived. It was opened to the public in 1920 prior to which the penalty for trespassing was death. Views[399] Rachel got talked into putting this stuff on for a picture. I think that it's similar to what an empress or concubine would wear during imperial reign. Views[393] Soldiers in front of Chairman Mao's Moseleum in Tienamen Square where his preserved body is on display. It's a little creepy.     Rachel on the balcony of the Taoist temple. We were told that the red lanterns found here and throughout the city and China are to ward of ghosts and evil spirits. Views[438] This is a Taoist temple in downtown Beijing. The only other people there were locals coming to make offerings to the different taoist departments. Views[397]
