My Scholarship entry - A backpackers view of Europe

I've only recently been able to afford the kind of equipment to take the photos i've always dreamed of taking. I spent 2 years overseas living in the UK and travelling throughout it and Europe trying to capture a side of those places that weren't blasted in travel pamphlets. Travel photography is my passion & I jump at any opportunity to broaden my experiences travel or photography wise. I'm a fun, fit 22 year old Australian girl who's life's ambition is to see the world & share it with anyone willing to look.
I live to travel; it started when I was 11 & my family & I took a 3 month camping trip around Australia, from there I did a home stay in America through my school to backpacking Europe & the UK & I have plans to traverse India & south east Asia in the new year. I live to travel, I love the feeling of stepping outside ones comfort zone & feeling completely vulnerable & insignificant at the same time. The Amazon, I feel, would be one of the few truly unexplored wonders of the earth left & I want for nothing more than the opportunity to explore it with a professional photographer. To combine my two true passions.
