My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

In my old room are boxes and folders of files, tickets, scraps of this and that I have collected over the years. As if I could relive my experiences by the mere presence of these bits, I have diligently scraped everything I could from my travels and life events. That was before digital photography hit our hometown.
Although I have restrained myself from over-sharing – I used to take a ‘daily highlight’ photo and post an online visual diary – I have not stopped taking my camera with me. I keep all photos stored, labeled for the nothing days when I could go through them and remember why I took the shots and how it had felt for me at that particular frozen moment.
Professionally, I have always dreamt of having even just one photo in an international travel magazine. I have never owned a sophisticated camera, these things being expensive and impractical for me who does not make a cent from photos. The most professional I’ve had is the micro ¾ that I use right now and I don’t even have a lens to zoom. I believe, however, as what my photographer teacher told me in my undergrad, that I have the eye for photos. With the right training I could develop my skill into a professional level.
