My name is Lisa,I'm 21 years old from the west of Ireland.I'm currently in my third year studying BA Honours in Fine Art,Photography and Lens Based Media in Limerick School of Art and Design. I have a hunger for travel, especially after spending three weeks travelling around 7 countries in Eastern Europe during the summer, this hunger has grown. I have two passions- travel and photography, to combine the two is a dream I want to turn into reality.Although studying photography through fine art puts me at a disadvantage from a technical point of view, my knowledge of reading images and creating new concepts in my own creative practice allows me to experiment incorporating other medias into my work such as textiles and printmaking. I named my journal 'Capturing Lifes Variables' because it sums my work up in a nutshell. The idea of creating a new perspective and reconstructing reality and two recurring themes in my work. By the five images I've chosen I hope you can get a sense of this new fabricated reality I'm creating. To be given this chance would help form my career as a photographer in this big bad world.
