My Scholarship entry - Army Sets You Ready For The World
As a human, what is the elusive thing that we have chased for our whole lives? Happiness. My happiness stems from being able to try new things and experience out of the world experience. Located in Asia, I dream of travelling the world. You do not get the chance to "tour" the Peruvian Amazon everyday, or should I say you almost never have that chance unless you had the balls to jump in there. This scholarship provides such a wonderful and rare opportunity for me to take the journey to the Peruvian Amazon.
As a sergeant in the army, I believe that I have the right set of skills to survive in the amazon. Army has taught me to survive in harsh conditions, even when the equipment and food supply I have is limited. I want to put those skills to test in the tough environment in the amazon to prove to myself that my time spent in the army is time well-spent.
