My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Worldwide | Monday, August 9, 2010 | 5 photos

To whom it regards,

I took these photographs while in Ladakh. My family are of western origin however my parents became Buddhist when I was quite small. Over the past few months I have been preparing a small donation of photo's to give to the Sydney Buddhist Centre which they will recieve the rights to and contribute as a source of continuos income. After the initial auction they will probably keep reprinting them. I care so much about Buddhism and wanted to give something i return. Thanks to them my mind is clean and my heart a working page. This is the informatin from the flyer below. I meditate and think the world belongs to all but tradition is like a column carrying light from one thing to another. I work in a bookshop, nothing special, and I have a friend who is from Mongolia. I am helping he and his wife here. I feel trust in these landscpaes. his family are from a very serious musical line. I have some music knowledge because I studied ethnomusicology. I am very healthy, and I am a twenty nine year old woman.

The west will rise on rice, Ladakh,
11th November -31st December 2010
Photography based on the thought of Buddhism as a flower for all, big or small. Images which share the sweet fires of this commonplace land of mountains, statues, Gods and Demons. Proceeds are a gift to the Sydney Buddhist Centre for much needed material.

Buddha open a door within me, to you

I am broken pieces
of a puzzle
spread across the Universeby cold winds

Every day I begin a new search
for myself

Buddha help me in this offering known as life
