My Scholarship entry - Australia Dreaming

I was born in New Zealand to parents of Maori descent. In my senior school years we moved to Australia, at 19 I moved to Melbourne, at 21 I departed in my 4wd camper, sharing online through photo my circumnavigation of Australia. This is my life, my current journey. I would love to be a full time online photographer. I should be chosen for this scholarship as I have the passion to succeed, but with youth and inexperience I feel this scholarship could enhance what I have already achieved.

My love of photography ignited with online photos of Melbourne, especially the buildings and graffiti. It was a catalyst for my relocation, and once there, I started uploading my photos to my handle @Streets_of_Melbourne via Instagram. For my 21st birthday I travelled to Thailand where I had an epiphany; return to Melbourne and travel round Australia taking travel photos. I had no specific strategy or professional set up. I use what I have, an Iphone5 and Nikon D7000, I upload to Instagram, I currently have 39,000 followers.
