A poet calls “Kelaniya Temple” as a place that “never grows old, but every time gains in beauty..” It relates to the fact that, it has reborn from ashes each and every time. 1920’s paintings being the Latest and the most spectacular addition of them all…these become the backdrop, whilst articulating the fact that “In this impermanent world, what lives on is the spirit of the people….”
