I was born/raised in Russia.For all my childhood I used to look at the map of the world dreaming that one day I ll go somewhere.My family couldn t help me so I decided to help myself.Last year I applied for a scholarship in DMJX for photojournalism and was chosen among other 9 participants. That decision has completely changed me.I always had the lack of self-confiedence,but working on the projects in different countries I realized that people I met on my road have rebuilt my self confidence just by the way they treated me.I m grateful for stories they shared with me,for their trust in me even though usually I appear in their life out of the blue.It s quite tricky to do projects without any budget and that experience taught me how to rely on people and built a good relationship everywhere I go.I run into World Nomads scholarship 3 days before I flew to Greenland (found exchange program from school).I had hard time trying to figure out the story and talking monkey english with greenlanders, but your words field photography is loneliness,frustration with self-flagellation as a bedfellow were such a relief for me.I m longing to win because I want to push my limits and work even harder
