At Murawai beach there is a place fisherman come to test themselves against the elements and ocean. On a long flat rocky outcrop stretching out into the ocean, this is where I met Chit (far right) and his none english speaking friend; both from Myammar, Burma. Chit tells me he and his friend left from Myammar several years ago because as he puts it, "the government is no good." Chit and his friend no longer felt safe living there but are happy now living and fishing in New Zealand.
