Mazatlan, Mexico is one of the most beautiful and eye opening places you will ever visit. There is everything from poverty to riches there. The photos I have chosen have a special place in my heart beacause they are not only beautiful and so clearly tell about the location, but they are an accurate visual representation of how people live in different parts of the world. Coming from a middle class town in the Boston area, it is so refreshing to visit places of this nature. It brings me back to reality seeing how some people have nothing. It makes me realize how lucky I am. I hope you enoy these photos as much as I do and that you get the same chills I feel when stepping into the world I wish I could visit more often.

I should be chosen for this scholarship because I need to win this. I have dreamed about winning something like this my whole life. I love traveling, I love meeting people and I love experiencing new things. I live for stepping outside of my comfort zone. I want to show the world what I can do with a camera, while exposing them to what lies beyond their community. Thank you for the opportunity.
