My Scholarship entry - Breaking Boundaries

I have tragically never been anywhere.
I mean that in the most literal sense, as I have never left the boundaries of the Midwest.
I have always swooned at the notion of being an adventure photographer and writer and once found this really wonderful quote that stated "the work that you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life." I did not think that Netflix was a viable option, and when I am not partaking in countless hours of movie and T.V watching I find myself out in the world(my mediocre college campus) that is, writing, with my Red Canon around my neck. That is where I feel safe, and complete for that matter; which is incredibly cliched, I know.
So, I suppose in all truthfulness, I crave to cross the boundaries of my Midwest upbringing and meet new people to write about, and take pictures of. I crave adventure that I will not find here. I am determined to, by whatever means, escape the monotony of the familiar and break these barriers that have confined me because of money. I am determined to find away out and into a world of new stories, people and adventures. I hope to achieve this through the lens and pen simple as that.
