My Scholarship entry - West Coast Wondering..
Australia | Friday, November 7, 2014 | 5 photos
with hard work, we can start something - something bigger than us - something real and beautiful..
having finished with university (for now), i took my conservation studies and spent this year working, volunteering and exploring around the globe - walking across spain and the united kingdom with my sister, and spending weeks on the road in my home state of victoria, confirming its vast variety and natural beauty..
this summer i'm relocating to the coast to explore once more - it's cool at night, the days are warm yet you can always escape the heat, without resorting to air conditioning, and of course, there's the water. the songs are loud, the breeze injects our skins with salt, the sun blares undisturbed by clouds for weeks on end, the beaches scream 'cancel all plans', and, naturally, the water is crystal clear and antartically crisp..
my photos may or may not be amazing, and i don't care (but if they are, that's great!) - i believe it's the story they tell that matters - an unedited environmental perspective on the mass we're spinning on, one about trying to understand it, instead of trying to get away from it..
i love this life, and there is no life like that on the road..
