My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Traveling is my first love as it involves trying new places, going to a crowded market, trying to decipher the scribbling on any historical monument, watching the sunset at a lonesome beach or listening to the echo from a high hill. I enjoy the experience of getting to know new people, their culture and of course their variety of food.
Sometime words are not enough to say about journey, Photographs do substitute it. Photography to me to convey the beauty of environment, virtue of people and basic similarity in traditions of places. And, always photography turns out to be mean of bonding between locals, especially youth.
My trip to Ladakh is yet another feather in my cap.La-Dakh-Dakh as we used to call it during our journey towards this place. ‘La’ in Ladakhi language means road passage or ‘pass' Dakh when pronounced in Hindi sounds similar to heartbeats! So La-Dakh-Dakh for me becomes pass for your heartbeats! It really stood true to its name.
I consider traveling and photography to be close relative of each other. Traveling is a way of learning and while photography is to capture experience.
Every journey has something to offer and to gain valuable insights.
