The Images:
I am always amazed at the social workings of crowds and music festivals are a great place to see and admire them. The annual Falls Festival in Lorne, Victoria is one such event; 20,000 people from all over the country coalesce on the outskirts of a small coastal town to feast on music and somehow it all works. It's incredible. My mind constantly shifts in it's awareness between the group and the individual; the forrest and the tree if you like. The images I am putting forward portray a place as it is experienced for only a few short days once a year. Night-time appeared as a common theme and i feel this is because it is at the end of the long, hot days darkness abstracts the individuals away from the crowds and you start to get a better sense of a more personal experience.

Myself:
I have always been a people watcher and somehow i always knew i'd get into photography in a big way. I was surrounded by cameras growing up but it wasn't until the age of 26 that the little snowball at the top of the hill started to roll. Now just 3 years later it is a massive force in my life and i am seldom with a camera in my hand. Travel presents the ultimate visual smorgasbord and a camera is my plate.

The Scholarship:
I have shot very little wildlife or architecture so the scholarship (assignment and guidance from Jason) would be an amazing opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and soak up every part of it.

Thank you for your consideration.
