My Scholarship entry - Capture the world

I am a 29 year old New Zealand guy with a passion for everything nature based, I have resided in Australia for 3 years and I work in the iron ore mines of Western Australia. However I am both drained of this and there is a good chance this industry will crumble anyday.

I have always had an interest in photography but recently have taken the step up and decided to take it more serious and hopefully one day make enough to live on from it, While I am relatively new to photography I believe my creativeness and eye for things others may not see will be what sets me apart. Before I ever travelled South America was the place I wanted to go most and I have yet to make it there, And if I go the chance to go with an award winning photographer to learn and take everything in whilst also having my own spin on the photos I take there would be a dream come true, I love travelling to countries where life s not so easy and would love to capture the beauty of the Amazon. As a predomantly Travel,Ocean and Landscape photogtapher this would be a great opportunity to shoot things I normally would not get to and share them with the world.
