I notice the small things, like the Ethiopian boy in Lalibela who was alone in the corner of his school because he wet his pants. I am fearless in my pursuit of experiences, skydiving over the Namibian desert and zip lining across Victoria Falls (although I passed on the bungee). I am interested in everything - especially people - and ask questions until I fully understand. I'm a former Mayor and attorney. My photos have been exhibited around the New York and Hudson Valley area, including publications in the New York Times. And I am never as happy as when I am traveling - especially to the developing world where cultures are foreign and the history and politics are complex. I admire the hidden struggles that most of the world faces each day and the vulnerability of our planet, both of which must be documented if improvement is to be made.
