My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

Worldwide | Wednesday, September 21, 2011 | flickr photos

I have this particular way to reach home by always passing this place around 5PM. There's always this kind of hanger and a few of vegetable crops which I strongly believe it interpreted an interesting life inside. Ever since it leave me curious, finally I decided to visit this place. I was surprised by the fact that it's a small village near the city.

The village isn't too specious, it is consisted a tiny group of houses, enough decent water to quench their thirst, and surprisingly a numerous kind of jobs. There are people who sells fruit, who collect woods, who entertain kids, a shepherd, a stall keeper and so on. Those people greeted me very well as if I was working for a newspaper, I cherish their warm welcome. I love how they managed to be content with their simple life while others rushing through both perfection and satisfaction outside. It is near the busiest district in town while they still can struggle and be grateful in simplicity.

In this photo series, I try to deliver a different perspective about how people even in a small group do things for their living. Capturing every moment and expression is how I would define myself. I have a strong urge to keep learning, to go further. I would like to see the world, to meet a lot of new people, to feel so many different cultures, and to be a documenter of all those opportunity after all.

I'm craving for the new experience in life and wanted to do some contribution to the world by participating this competition. It would be such an honor for me to work with Jason Edwards himself.
