My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Bruno and I am a student with passion to tell stories. Since I was a young boy my parents raised me in an environment where photos were meant to tell stories and make a connection between events, feelings and people. My father travelled a lot and took pictures, while my mother wrote this interesting footnotes, and they would paste it all together in little journals. I promised my mom and dad that someday, I would learn about the world and tell them stories as they told me, but I never had enough money to do so.
Last year I met National Geographic writer and photographer Davor Rostuhar, and he turned my world around. He heard my story, and he borrowed me some money, and his camera for a week and told me to go wherever I want to and bring back a good story to him and to my parents. He was impressed with my effort so much, that he gave his old camera and 50mm lens. Finally, he told me about this contest. I feel like I have an obligation to him, as I have to my parents to finally create something extraordinary and share a story that will take their breath away. You should choose me, because I can guarantee that You won't find anybody as hard working and motivated as me.
