Reliable Trails: Pittsburgh boasts of endless staircases that lead to the best views of the city. Polish Hill smugly claims several of these staircases that residents use daily to cut across streets while soaking the sun's last rays. I accompanied an artist and his two year old daughter on their evening walk along one such set of stairs. I lingered to find a space which captured the enigma these rusted rails and crooked steps help for the residents.
