Photography is something that has been around for years and will be around forever. If you are fortunate enough to be able to own a camera, you're fortunate enough to be able to capture moments which we wish would last a life time.

I'm fortunate to have travelled to some amazing places and see how being able to capture the essence of an event, a moment, a place, a view or a person in one still image can never be recreated. An image can hold that moment of time forever and when it is seen, it comes alive once again.

We all have a wish list or a 'what if' list. Mine would be, I wish i'd done photography when I had the chance in college. So its only now that i'm doing a short course in photography to understand the technical workings of a camera. I love it. I love people wanting me to take their picture, I love being able to capture images that I wouldn't necessarily have remembered if they were not on camera. I love trying create the whole essence of a moment/place with one picture.

I want to take part in this scholarship because, I have alot to learn but alot to give. I have a good eye for detail, framing and what works and what doesn't. I'm a canvas to work with.
