My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
India | Tuesday, July 2, 2013 | 5 photos
I'm a cultural chameleon. Whenever I travel in lands 23.5 degrees above and below the equator, I blend in with the local environment. In India I look Indian, in Egypt I look Egyptian. This experience has made an unexplored culture more easily accessible to me since I become comfortable with it quicker than an average traveler. On my trip to Bombay, India in 2012 this became a great inspiration to start to discover my skills in photography. With a simple digital camera I managed to take and edit photos that captured a piece of the culture and every day life. I realized how much I enjoy it! Soon enough, I was searching for various activities, personalities, and scenes that were telling me a story. So, I clicked my camera every time I came across them. I feel that this scholarship opportunity could help me discover and develop further what a friend of my, photographer, told me I have a good eye for. I understand how Greenland can be a challenge but my adventurous spirit, ever present wanderlust, and newly discovered interest in photography already fill me with passion and excitement for this trip! I'd like to see how far I can go with this experience.
