A Brown Pelican, Roseate Spoonbills, and Ibises gather at Sanibel's J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge, part of an undeveloped mangrove ecosystem, attracts all sorts of migratory birds, including the Roseate Spoonbill, which is often mistaken for a Flamingo.

A man looks out at the horizon toward Fort Myers Beach, where condos dot the skyline. Evenings on Sanibel often bring long lines of clouds that absorb the color of the sun as it sets.

As clouds roll in and the sun begins to fall in the sky, an Egret perches over Sanibel's fishing pier. Wildlife and humans co-exist peacefully on the island, making it an incredibly unique place to visit.
