Hello,
My name is Elmar. At the moment I'm combining my work as an IT Project Manager with a passion of my life - photography.
For me it all started out with photography about 18 years ago when I got my first point and shoot film camera, but after a while due to camera failure my interest in photography extinguished. After a long break, in late 2007 I came across my second camera, which was my first Nikon DSLR. I felt that I found something that I missed for all the years passed, so I was keen on studying the technique, composition and every other bit of detail that combine into a good photograph.
I've recently noticed that nothing makes me more happy about my life than creating a good picture that is telling people,myself included, something more than a plain eye can see. For me camera is my third eye, a meditational technique that helps me experience things, places and people in my life, from witnessing the solitude of deserted saltmarshes under the starry skies above to meeting an old friend of mine in the middle of the crowded bazaar.
Sometimes I feel that the only person who clearly sees what I've tried to communicate through the picture is me and my goal is to change that.
