My Scholarship entry - When everything seems to whisper "Elsewhere"

My name is Elena Pezzetta, 20 years, from Italy. I study painting at the Academy of Fine Arts and I'm also a passionate photographer. I love exploring the space, forgetting about myself everytime I get lost in the immensity to find myself again in another dimension; I find myself missing places more than how much I miss some people. It's about that feeling you get when you realize there's so much beauty in the world and your heart is filled with joy and it deeply breaks you, so that you can open up completely to that perception of the essence of Universe. It's about realizing that every exterior paysage has got its ideal correspondent inside of us and that there are some unconscious images we bring with us since we are born that, somewhere, are real. I love the feeling you get when you are between two places and it feels like time is suspended and you're nowhere and you realize life itself is nothing but a travel and there's no point but to go, face new adventures, exchange thoughts, cultures and share moments with people you've never met before and still change your life for good. I think it's important to share the wonder with others to encourage a deeper vision of the world.
