Potato's pancake

Passport & Plate - Potato's pancakes

Ingredients
Potatoes - 3 .items
Onion (medium) - 1 item
Egg - 2 items
Wheat flour - 3 spoons
?heese - 70 g
Vegetable oil - for frying
Salt - to taste

 

How to prepare this recipe
At the beginning I need to peel the onions and cut into small pieces.Then it the turn of potatoes. I had to peel and wash them .Grate the cheese and the potatoes is the next step in making pancakes .Then I was adding the onions to the cheese and potatoes .Then step by step adding the egg, salt and flour .and mix everything into one mass.
Before frying I heated the oil pan.To make the potato pancakes better I know that I have to take more oil than under filling it. Using a spoon I was putting the potato's mixture to the pan.Sometimes I do it with hands , cause in this way I feel the right size and weight of the pancakes . And the last step is just frying on both sides until golden brown crust appears.
In my plate they are served with melted butter .

 

The story behind this recipe
It's just attached to my story. At first I'd like to tell when I was a little 5 years old girl , my mum have been making a really fabulous and delicious potato pancakes. She made it only for me , because it is kind of caloric food and she wanted to be slim. So this was a time when I realise my mum loves me more than anybody else and the potato pancakes became the most favourite dish I have ever tried . Now it's the first time when I left my home land, house and my mum and was gone so far away to another country .I was born in Ukraine and currently I live in Poland . Here I understood I miss my home and I want to give a piece of that to my current country to Poland. I decided that the best thing how to make it closer to me will be making potato pancakes here. So I just bought everything essential and went to the common kitchen in my student house. It was the first time I have been doing something like cooking and such difficult dish . After all my doings I finally made that and it was delicious otherwise it's not the end. When I made it a girl came to the kitchen and said she adores potato pancakes, cause she has never tried them in Poland , misses the taste and asked to try one. Of course I agreed, why not and from that time we are best friends here .
