My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Seeing the magic in the darkroom as the images appeared ignited my love of photography. I have been mentored by other photographers and encouraged to pursue my love of photography. I wanted challenge myself more to connect with the viewers and convey a story or an emotion in my images. I now mentor others. I always wished I had more knowledge and more skills to pass onto others. I can see the infinite possibilities available in photography and want to learn more. I believe that learning never stops. I strive to learn something every day and get as much right in camera as I can. Photography helped me develop a love for life and what is around me, but it has also taught me so much about myself. Combining my love for travel adventure and photography in one job would be a dream come true.It would not only be an awesome opportunity to go to Greenland and immerse myself in the country and culture, but to work with a professional National Geographic photographer like Jason Edwards would be phenomenal. I have more to learn about technical excellence and being a photographer in the field under enormous pressure on assignment. This would be the ultimate hands-on experience.
