My Scholarship entry - Villains

I'm Kenny. I need this. I need one extra push, one extra leap, one more person pouring into my creative heart, and one more place to make it sing again. I am driven by the divine beauty in the world around me. Capturing it and telling its stories I feel is my responsibility. But I need help. I need to learn. I want to learn. I need to able to tell these stories faithfully and in their entirety, for what they are; no more, no less. I live in the small town of Statesboro, Georgia. No one pushes me here at this point. I feel like I have reached a temporary peak in my craft and this opportunity could be the catalyst in the maturing of it. I have plenty of local and some out of town photo and video gigs here and there, but nothing pushes me as an artist. I never need to do more than I already can, and that terrifies me. I want to learn, I want to see.
