River of Filth Children pay on the "street" while a river of filth runs down through the town. There are no sanitary services in Cochoapan, so people relieve them selves behind their houses, but since Cochoapan sits at the top of a hills, all filth runs down the mountain.

Hungry Childhood

Famine is almost present on every child in town. Malnutrition is the first cause of dead in Cochoapan. Even in dogs malnutrition is present.

Waiting for death.

This man, 22 yo, refuses to receive medical attention. He scratch his leg with a small rock while working, but since they believe that the local clinic is where people go to die, he prefers to stay at home and wait for dead. He is father of three small children.
