I was born with the luck of having two different cultures: my mother is Cuban and my father is Malagasy. This incredible mix makes me feel like if I dont belong to a specific place but that any places in the world can be home. At the moment I'm living in Malaysia for my studies; I have chosen this country because I'm found of the multiculturism that is going on here. I can sometimes feel as if I was in China, India or Indonesia at the same time.
As a kid, I always loved watching documentaries showing different destinations. I didnt have much oppurtunities to travel so for me, it was just the best way to escape from the reality.
Since I was born in Madagascar which is a poor country, I feel really concerned about all the injustice that happen in the world and photography is for me a weapon to fight it. By taking pictures, one can make people aware of a situation.
I should be chosen because of the simple reason that I would like to learn more about photography so that I can perflectly express all the emotions through my pictures, and make people discover not only poverty of one country but also what make a country special.
