Although I travelled much, I explore locally in great detail, short trips become hours. I try not to let the environment deter me from taking photos so I've damaged cameras through seascapes, pushing my comfort zone to get the right composition. I find rain brings everything alive, forcing people inside or out of their comfort zones.
It's hard to explain, but photography allows me to show people things they overlook, because of distractions, or taking things for granted. It allows me to slow down and see what is around me and the different shapes and perspectives things can have
I guess photography is a sort of outlet, capturing the things that I find interesting, often overlooked by others and helping me remember them.
I'd like to be able to making a living off of photography, even though it will require a lot more work and effort to be able to live basically, it is far more rewarding then a office job.
I feel like Jason would be able to teach me more about the more subtle details of pre-visualising and seeing photos. Also hearing the story of his photographic career and how he is able to sustain himself in the industry would be very helpful to me.
