In September 2013, I left my job of five years in Ireland, and started what was to be the beginning of a round-the-world trip. I bought my first DSLR and envisaged myself taking pictures of the seven wonders of the world. In a surprising twist (maybe unfortunately to some), 2 weeks into my trip, I visited a girl in the USA, that I had not seen in almost 10 years, and the next three weeks changed everything. I well and truly fell in love. After 2 more months of travelling (I had a wedding I still had to go to in Mexico!) I returned and after further visits, moved here permanently. having married in September 2014. She lives on her families farm, managing a herd of Guernsey cows. As a city boy myself, I have had a challenging year, but one full of photo opportunities, combining my love for my wife, the farm, the animals and photography. Nevertheless, I hope to continue my round-the-world trip, this time bringing my new wife with me. The trip to Peru would be a fantastic opportunity for me to improve on what I already know, and fill in the many gaps that would bring my photography to the next level.
