The story behind this recipeWell, the storie about my recipe starts when I was a child. As a normal family, mom and dad used to work all day long and after school, me and my brothers used to stay with a fat woman that create us as her children. She used to cook a lot for us, and always good things. As the time I used to be in the kitchen to learn with her...But it did not work. I grew up and alwys had that im my mind: One day I will have my own recipe. So when I was 17 years old I went to US as an exchanged student and my host family did not cook at all. My host grandmother was a chef and lent me her books. After school I used to stay by myself at home. One day I was palying with the dog and saw in the backyard a huge apple tree, very full...so I decided to do something with the apples. I got the cooking books and finally I made a apple pie. My host father took it to his work and It was a success.I made more than 10 apple pies for his co-workers So that day I decide I could cook. I used to live that time in California, and there was a place with a lot of mexican culture, and because of that I got used to eat mexican food. So, one of them was nachos calientes. I was so confident after my apple pies that I decided to cook my own nachos calientes. Perfect I cooked. After came back to Brasil, I missed so many things fron US, specially my nachos calientes. So I decided to cook in here. I did not have all the ingredients, so I cooked my own nachos calientes and it was a success for my friends and family. It is a mexican recipe, learned in US and well cooked here in Brazil. That is my brasilian nachos!!!!
