Iceland - Another World
A short trip to Iceland had me thinking I was on another planet. The landscape is forever changing, as is the weather. It would have to be one of the most bizarre, yet beautiful places I have ever seen.
My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Iceland | Wednesday, July 3, 2013 | 5 photos
I have recently been on an around the world adventure during which time I visited over 20 countries and experienced many different cultures. Previous to this, I seemingly enjoyed photography as much as the next person, however it wasn't until I was a little under a thousand shutter clicks into my adventure that I discovered a hidden passion to capture moments in time, that would tell a story and evoke emotions without ever saying a word. From that point on, whenever I was taking pictures, I would try to not only capture the image, but the moment. I would try to express how I felt in that moment instead of just capturing what I saw. I feel that this is where the best photographs come from; emotional connection.
Everybody wants a job that they can enjoy going to work every day and I feel that this invaluable experience thanks to world nomads and national geographic, might help me break into the world of photography and pursue a career within a field that I have become so passionate about.
