My Scholarship entry - Pieces of Italy

Hi there, I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember, starting with film and eventually making the difficult transition to digital. What intrigues me most in photography are the forgotten details and unkempt corners, areas that may be undiscovered or maybe just forgotten about but this is where their beauty lies. This may be under a rock in a wall, a tiny village off the beaten track, far corners of forest or just about anywhere. I have always had a driving desire to travel and this scholarship is a dream! Not alone the opportunity to travel but to travel and work with a photographer such as Jason who must be a wealth of knowledge of information and I could only hope that my insatiable enthusiasm and energy would be of some repayment to him. I'm a hard worker and a keen student and I would love to delve deeper in to travel and discovery photography and to bring images of our precious natural world to the eyes of people all over the world in the hope that maybe one person or one hundred people could change their outlook and realise the importance of what we have on our planet and that it needs to be protected, to be cherished.
