My Scholarship entry - signs in sinhala

I feel bold. I am at a point in my life where I would risk it all out. Follow the signs that life brings you to ignore, don't settle for compromises and don't live my life as it should be lived, in the habit. I want to explore, learn. This is my meeting point with the photography which unfortunately has been just a hobby for me. I would like to challenge myself and see what I can do. I recently saw Wim Wenders' documentary about Salgado and I thought "That's enlightening!". I was impressed by the profound humanity of his work and I said to myself "This man told you there is a way to keep alive what you feel inside." If in my life I have a small chance to respond to that I will feel good about myself. I hope that this does not seem a letter from a fanatic, because I use to be very rational and thoughtful. At the same time I became aware of my urge for adventure and I find it increasingly difficult to ignore. I consider this, perhaps, a letter more to myself than to you. I want to be able to read it in ten years and know that I will not have forgotten all this and I will have found a way to give it expression. It would be an honor and an indescribable joy to be part of your project.
