Who lives in the Kalahari Desert in Botswana?

My Scholarship entry - From small to big.

Botswana | Sunday, November 23, 2014 | 4 photos

I climbed Volcan de Pacaya after my internship at NASA and decided to focus on photography after graduating college last year. It was astronomical photography that got me into the art of photography. My father is an amateur astronomer and I am probably one of few children who had an observatory in their backyard. I did solar, lunar and stellar photography with my telescope as a lens for my Minolta SRT 101. I only recently bought a DSLR camera and use this not only in astronomical photography but also on my travels, recently on the Camino and to The Victoria Falls.

Sharing my experiences through photography is my ambition. My ultimate goal is to publish my travel pictures and have my own travel photo book and column. I am very passionate about what I’m doing and I certainly think that modern technology has helped me to become a better photographer, but I am grateful for the fundamentals I learnt with my Minolta.
This scholarship will teach me how a professional does his job and how he got where he is.
