Hello there.

My name is Andrew Macdonald and I live in Scotland.

I am from a small village in the Scottish Borders and over the last few years my love of photography has grown and grown.

In August 2012 my girlfriend and I set off on a life changing year long trip around the world. During this year we travelled through Africa, South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South and North America. It was during this epic adventure that my love for travel photography became an obsession.

I feel it is very import and to make sure you appreciate where you are and enjoy the sometimes epic scenes in front of you but being able to capture and document these scenes is something I love. It is then that you can share them with others who may not be able to see the world or even open someones eyes as to what is out there!

I feel i should be chosen as the competition combines everything I love , travel, adventure, photography, wildlife, people, sights, smells and culture. I could go on and on.

Also during out rime in Peru we ran short on time and never made it into the Amazon. I can imagine it is a must do!
