My Scholarship entry - A trip to Lake Atitlan and the Mystical Yoga Farm

I am a Miami, FL based photojournalist eager to continue to travel. Being able to explore new countries and engage with different people is what it is all about to me. I am so captivated and inspired when traveling and find my best photographs are captured when I am somewhere I have never been. I am curious with my camera and it is a companion that has led me into so many amazing experiences. I should be chosen for the scholarship for a few reasons. I am a versatile photographer that can capture environments to people and I aim to tell a story through my images. I'm also interested in the environmental issues going on in the Amazon and I would love to give those issues some exposure. A huge part of travel photography is having an adventurous spirit and lust for life and I really do yearn to explore the world with my camera. This trip would give me an opportunity of a life time and I would be blessed to have it.
