The World Through the Eyes of a Photographer

My Scholarship entry - Natural Cornwall

United Kingdom | Monday, November 10, 2014 | 5 photos

I'm currently enrolled on a Marine and Natural History degree at Falmouth university, Cornwall and have always had an acute fascination with the natural world. Throughout my childhood years - with the influence of the BBC and National Geographic - I found a strong connection to the ocean and unspoiled natural world which, combined with my artistic nature and intrigue in the many wonders of biodiversity and natural order, ultimately shaped my chosen future career path. I have in the past 4 years experimented with the majority of photographic processes and equipment available to me, documenting the natural world the way I see it and as originally as possible. I have a strong passion for all aspects of nature, flora and fauna and particularly enjoy working with mammals, marine and bird life. My opportunity for travel have been very limited throughout my life and I've therefore made the most of what surrounds me taking a scientific and artistic approach to everything that intrigues me. I would be infinitely grateful for the opportunity to travel to the Peruvian Amazon with a NatGeo mentor to gain valuable experience in natural documentation.

Best regards,
