My Scholarship entry - A Village That Felt Like Home!

Hi!
I'm Ajinkya. I've been brought up in the historic city of Aurangabad in India and have studied Photography from AJK MCRC, New Delhi. Prior to studying Photography in Delhi, I was an IT Engineer who took this adventurous journey of becoming a Photographer. Photography is a medium for me through which I explore the world around me and try to find an answer to the question - How it is like to live in this world? Photography has given me an opportunity to connect with different people from different aspect of life. I love to travel and have traveled solo to most parts in India. Traveling for me is experiencing beautiful cultures, places, languages, and meeting lots of interesting people. I can say I'm an avid cinema and music lover.
Mountains have never failed to inspire me and having brought up in the historic city where the World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora are situated, historical sites have a special place in my explorations. This journey with Photographer Jason Edwards will teach me a lot in the nitty gritties of travel photography and documenting of history. I feel I should be chosen because of my eagerness to learn, to hone my craft and explore.
