My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am Abhishek. I enjoy reading and have always appreciated paintings and photographs which could tell a story beautifully. My interest in photography as an art form grew when I realized that through this medium one can tell a story which can be very dynamic and powerful. I have tried to self educate myself in this art and have endeavored to express visually the poetry that I see in my mind.
I also have a deep-rooted love for travel and recently did a 15,000 km motorcycle solo ride from Kashmir to the southern-most tip of India, Kanyakumari. It was overwhelming to see the change in the landscape, weather, appearance of people and their unique outlook and challenges. I felt exposed to the bareness of life, nature and its limitless beauty. I feel photographs are an expression of an observation, an observation which would look different from every angle. Above all, I love nature and I want to see it, feel it and save it as much as I can.
Through this scholarship, I want to tell nature’s story and develop and perfect my photography skills. I want to contribute to the social & environmental cause in every possible way, and I will be happiest if I could do that through my photographs.
