    Sorry for this correction:
    The sun NEVER sets across the Bay of Arugam.
    Being on Sri Lanka's East cost:
    The sun only rises here.

    sun will set no matter whether its east or west. only difference is that it sets into ocean on a west coast and into the land on a east coast . and in the picture above it seems to be setting into the land .. :).The pic must ve been taken from one corner of a curvy bay .
