Competitive Brisbane: Into Duckness

Our entry isn’t typical and neither are we.
We purposely picked an event that differs from Brisbane’s main attractions, as we would do the same in New Orleans; immerse ourselves culturally and hunt out the hidden gems. We want the stories that are untold, hence our kooky video that matches us as filmmakers.
We both graduated from film school in 2012. Jonathan studied film and Stephanie studied animation.
Jonathan’s experience includes work experience with documentary, covering subjects like Hare Krishna followers. Currently, he works within retail while writing scripts in his spare time. He is Swedish, has a wicked sense of humour and aspires to be a director.
Stephanie experience includes freelance graphic design. She is currently a casual production assistant at a local VFX company and studying CG animation online. She’s a kiwi/Aussie and has an infectious positive attitude.
Our ambition as filmmakers is not just to show for the sake of showing but to link local stories with audiences, where we are the branch that connects the two. Winning this scholarship would be an amazing boost of exposure in a city where positions within the industry are scarce.
