One giant snowball and it hasn´t even snowed yet.

Howdy, y'all! The southern accent? Yeah, it surprised me, too. I think I got it from Oprah, of all places. (She just did a show from Texas) Jajaja, aaaanyway...
It´s getting to that point in the semester where everything is kind of snowballing. I worked so much on catching up from being sick, that I had let some work slide that was currently being taught and it´s coming back to bite me in the booty. Fun? Eh, not so much, but it's life so you roll with it, no?? I´ll just put my foot down this weekend and get it together again!
Ok, so I´ll get it together AFTER my big spaghetti and meatball dinner I´m hosting on Saturday. (What? I´m soaking in my last few moments of being able to procrastinate in college. It´ll only make my experience that much more authentic and enriching :0) ) I made the meatballs -Yes, Grandmal's recipe!- on Monday and the apartment smells UUH-mazing! It´s almost like being home for Christmas.. almost. So a bunch of friends are coming over and we´re going to eat to our hearts' content and then see where the night takes us. I can´t wait!
Also this weekend, is Madison´s annual holiday market and you know me and any sort of market/artsy fair.. I just can´t stay away! Soooo, I´ll be going there, too. I´m really looking forward to it.
A call for mechanics - the oddest thing happened to me the other day. I got into my car to drive home from studying at a cafe and my seatbelt was locked in the retracted position. I´ve tried just about everything I know and it won´t unlock. It sounds like the gear locked (like when you stop fast and it freezes) but since it´s already completely retracted, I can´t let the slack in to unlock it. Make sense? I´m going to see if I can fiddle with the bolt at the bottom and unscrew it to give it slack and hopefully unlock. Any other suggestions??
Last random story, I promise. I walked out of my bedroom the other day to find Freckles with leaves all on her face (don't ask me where she got them from, I haven't a clue!), she´s springing around like she´s on a trampoline and her tail is as wide as a baseball bat. I have to say, it was one of the FUNNIEST sights I´ve seen in a while. We've become quite the pals, lately. I have to admit, she´s not all that bad of a pet. (Shocking, right? I promise, her incessant meowing really does cease and she´s a fun little gal)
Last bit before I go do homework - I need to give my boss my Christmas break availability soon. Are there any dates after Christmas/New Years that I should keep in mind/be in NY for? Thanks much!
Take care and miss you all lots!
